Join Hamtramck Free School and Paul Jaussen for a close reading of Fred Moten’s latest text, Black and Blur. Moten is an exhilarating and challenging interdisciplinary figure, working at the intersection of poetry, theory, black studies, and performance.  For the months of May and June, HFS will host a collaborative reading/discussion of Moten’s Black and Blur (Duke, 2017), the first volume of his new theoretical trilogy consent not to be a single being.  Registered participants will be able to purchase the book at a discount, courtesy of Duke UP.

The first meeting will take place on Monday, May 14 at 7pm at Klinger Studios (11627 Klinger Street). Subsequent meeting place and times will be determined by all participants. Registration is not required, but you are encouraged to e-mail Paul Jaussen ([email protected]) if you want to confirm your attendance. A limited number of copies will be available courtesy of Hamtramck Free School. Books are available for purchase at a discount on Duke University Press’s website. Please contact Paul Jaussen for the discount code.
