Date(s) - Sunday, 11/11/2018
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join HFS and Maxwell Leonard of Max Bread for Pizzapalooza, a pizza building workshop in the HFS Earth oven on Sunday, November 11 from 12-4pm, or until the dough is gone.* We’ll discuss how to build a pizza oven out of earthly materials and how to build a perfect pizza.
In August of 2018, a group of volunteers completed Persephone (named after the Greek goddess of agriculture–chiefly grain–who ruled the Underworld with Hades), a cob oven made of materials mostly sourced from the ground in the neighborhood. To celebrate the completion of the oven, we’re going to feast! For more information, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Max Bread is preparing dough for approximately 200 personal pizzas. Pizzas are free but donations are accepted for future Hamtramck Free School programming.
