Join us for a poetry reading and book release with Rob Halpern and Cherise Morris. Doors 7:30, Reading 8p.

Rob Halpern lives between San Francisco and Ypsilanti where he teaches at Eastern Michigan University and Huron Valley Women’s Prison. He’s the author of five collections of poetry, including Music for Porn (Nightboat Books 2012), Common Place (Ugly Duckling Presse 2015), and most recently Weak Link (Atelos 2019) about which he was interviewed here at PULP.

Cherise Morris is an writer and spiritualist born and raised in rural Virginia. Her works has appeared in The Iowa Review, Longreads, The Feminist Wire, Winter Tangerine, Bustle and Fourth Genre. Her essay, “blk_grls_x-ing” was selected as a notable work in Best American Essays 2018. She is currently working on a collection of experimental essays, entitled Visions of the Evolution: In Search of a New HumanityMore of her work can be found @ cherisemorris.com.
